TA-9554 REG: Southeast Asia Urban Services Facility – ASEAN Smart Cities Initiative/Task Order 10 VIE: Hue Smart Digital City Model for Master Planning – Task 1
The project is part of the TA-9554 REG: Southeast Asia Urban Services Facility – ASEAN Smart Cities Initiative.
The Hue Smart Digital City Model for urban spatial planning is prepared under the ASEAN Australia Smart Cities Trust Fund (AASCTF), which is funded by the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), managed by Asian Development Bank (ADB) and delivered by the Consortium of Ramboll and VSDI Consultants.
The AASCTF assists ASEAN cities in enhancing their planning systems, service delivery, and financial management by developing and testing appropriate digital urban solutions and systems. By working with cities, AASCTF facilitates their transformation to become more livable, resilient, and inclusive, while in the process identifying scalable best and next practices to be replicated across cities in Asia and the Pacific. Rapid urbanisation and population growth is a defining phenomenon in the Asia and Pacific region and exceeds development rates in most other parts of the world. The aims of AASCTF is to allow cities to launch initiatives and use smart technologies to manage assets and resources within a dynamic urban environment to provide urban environments that improve liveability for citizens whilst driving economic growth. Considering population growth projections, such initiatives have become increasingly important in urban areas where the demand for more sustainable and efficient use of infrastructure and assets will be required.
