Research & Prediction of the Climate Change – Sea Level Rise impacts on Rural Infrastructure (Water Supply&sanitation) in Nam Dinh province Nam Dinh, VN DANIDA 57,000 USD Dec 2010 – Dec 2011

The main objective of the study is to study and predict the sea level rise due to climate change impacts on the rural water supply in the Nam Dinh province. In particular, the project will focus on clarifying the boundaries of spatial distribution of fresh-saltwater in the groundwater as well as building saltwater intrusion model in the main river network based on sea level rise scenarios to predict both the scope and the extent of its influence to water resources and rural water supply by which we can propose a suitable water resources planning for rural water supply projects in the future.
